Origin of Haze

Haze is grown prolifically around the globe with origins dating back to the seventies when the Haze Brothers starting cannabis cultivation in California.

It a famous 100% Sativa hybrid bred from the best Sativa strains namely from the landrace species from Mexico and Colombia. The top of the crop females from this marriage were then crossed with another landrace strain that came from southern India. The daughter borne from this breeding was then crossed with a Thailand landrace species. Today, this strain is known as The Haze.

Description

The Haze strain has a strong but beautiful aroma giving off hints of spices, subtle incense, and undertones of sandalwood. The breeding with the Thais species gives it a citrus aftertaste.

Cultivation

Haze has an uplifting and powerful psychedelic effect that gives you clarity and energy that is long-lasting. Because it is 100% Sativa, it was not well-adapted for indoor growing. The flowering period was quite long, being over 16 weeks, and its size didn’t make it easy to manage in an indoor space. When the Haze strain was bred with Indica strains, it became better adapted to indoor growing.

Effects

While not everyone experiences the same effects, a lot of the Haze strains deliver the hazy, foggy feeling but they also provide uplifting effects that stimulate the creative juices.
